In January of 2009, the Alvaralice Foundation convened in Cali the International Symposium “Microfinance as a Tool for Peacebuilding. Â Â “This symposium set the tone for an unprecedented conversation connecting two established topics in social and economic development: peace and microfinance. It had the participation of eighty international and one hundred national panelists, the presidents of IADB and CAF, Colombia’s President and Vice-president, as well as an audience of 1,800 attendees.
Alvaralice is an active member of ASOMICROFINANZAS, an organization that brings together Colombia’s financial institutions since 2009.
