Somos PacÃfico’s Fine Arts program participant, Julieth Vallecilla, was one of four young artists out of hundreds from all over the country to win a college scholarship valued at COP $10M.
Oster, the home appliance company, and La Tertulia Museum joined forces to sponsor young Colombian artists through the fine arts competition, ‘Sabores de Colombia’, inspired by regional cuisine. The goal was to interpret their cultural roots and identities through art.
With her ceramic creation titled ‘Chontaduro a la Vista’ Julieth was chosen as one of the top 12 finalists who traveled to Bogota to take part in the final stage of the competition where Julieth and the three other winners were selected.
The jury was made up of the artist, Carlos Jacanamijoy, ArtBo director, MarÃa Paz Gaviria and Bomba Stereo lead singer, Li Sument.
