“Compromiso Valle” brings together citizens and business leaders in the Valle del Cauca to provide solutions for the great social challenges of the region. This initiative prioritizes six areas of work, with more than 15 social impact programs and it seeks to benefit 30,000 vulnerable citizens and their families in the cities of Buga, Candelaria, Cali, Jamundí, Palmira, Buenaventura, and Yumbo.
The focus areas proposed are: food security, education, leadership, entrepreneurship, life projects’ transformation, and employability. “Abriendo Caminos” and “Rumbo Joven”, two projects developed by Alvaralice Foundation are contributing to meet “Compromiso Valle’s” goals in two of its focus areas by working towards reducing the levels of violence by effective social rehabilitation processes and by providing specialized employment training for at-risk youth.
“Compromiso Valle” is a dynamic, constantly changing initiative with results projected in the short, medium, and long term and its purpose is to contribute to the reconciliation and reconstruction of the social fabric in the city of Cali and the Valle del Cauca Department.
