With the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the international economic development organization ACDI/VOCA Natalia Ponce de León, ambassador of reconciliation, visited the employability program Rumbo Joven to promote her campaign: “La Vida Renace” (Life Reborn). During two hours, Natalia shared her personal experiences with participants of the program, and invited them to become agents of change, not to be afraid, not to be silent and to help transform lives.
In 2014, Natalia Ponce de León was a survivor of gender violence when she was a victim of a violent acid attack. A year later, she created the foundation that bears her name, with the mission of defending, promoting and protecting the human rights of people who are victims of chemical attacks. The foundation launched the campaign “La Vida Renace“, which seeks to recognize and eliminate all types of gender violence in Colombia, fostering spaces for transformation based on respect, acceptance, trust and empowerment.
