Thanks to the support of the Alvaralice and Arturo and Enrica Sesana Foundations (FAES), the first Intergenerational Meeting on the Pacific Region Cultural Mores project at the Somos PacÃfico Cultural Technocentro was held on October 29. This initiative seeks to contribute to the rescue and strengthening of cultural traditions and practices of the elderly population of this neighborhood in order to recover the historical, individual and cultural memory of Colombia.
The event had a total of seventy-five attendees, among these several teachers and participants of some of the programs of Somos PacÃfico. In addition, members from the community of the Potrero Grande neighborhood attended, enjoying a day of learning and fun where older adults were the leaders. A staging of Colombian myths and legends, poetry recitals, board games, musical interpretation and folk dance, were all part of the agenda that gathered different generations around the cultural traditions of the Pacific coast.
