In 2013 Ingrid Vallecilla joined the Technocenter Somos Pacifico’s Computer Clubhouse program which has benefited since its inception more than 900 children and youths from the Potrero Grande neighborhood and its surroundings through the use of technology and by enabling them to develop advanced computer skills, inspiring them to pursue higher education. Ingrid showed from the start a talent for drawing and design and focused on learning the skills and tools to create graphic designs.
Thanks to her proactive participation in the program in 2016 she was chosen to attend the Teen Summit event in Boston, Massachusets. The Teen Summit is a biennial, week-long youth leadership event that brings worldwide together young participants from the 100 international Clubhouses.
This experience allowed Ingrid to meet and share lessons learned with young people from around the globe. During the event, the participants explored issues relevant to their VARIOUS interests and had the opportunity to propose solutions through the creative use of innovative, high-end communication and information technologies.
In 2017, Ingrid graduated from high school and is currently attending the ICESI University in Cali where she is pursuing her undergraduate degree in Interactive Media Design.
