Since its beginning in 2014, Rumbo Joven (Youth on Course) has provided alternatives for numerous young people seeking formal employment.  The program uses a methodology that provides the necessary tools and skills for success in the job market.

Through training, psychosocial guidance and ties to local business, program participants have been able to find formal employment, which allows them to continue their life projects. During the program’s ten years of existence, it has maintained an employment rate of 60% (employed graduates/total program graduates).

In addition to opening doors to formal employment, the program has promoted personal and vocational development, propelling participants to achieve their goals and contribute to Cali’s economic and social development in a positive manner.   In surroundings in which access to employment is fundamental for individual and collective wellbeing, the youth employment program has shown itself to be a tool for change and progress in the lives of participants residing in the city’s vulnerable areas.
