The partnership between the Alvaralice Foundation and the haute couture company Johanna Ortiz and SENA, started in 2022. This alliance has successfully culminated in the training and employment of thirteen women certified from the “Johanna Ortiz School of Haute Couture” program. During their training process, the women developed skills and technical competencies for their life projects, supported by the socioemotional tools that allow for building security, support networks and labor projection.
At the beginning of the year 2023, the final runway show was held. The participants exhibited their collections, the fulfillment of their studies at the school. The event was attended by the designer, Johanna Ortiz, who congratulated the women and awarded them with diplomas and insignia gowns, in tandem with the partner institutions.
It is worth noting that the alliance has allowed the Johanna Ortiz School of Haute Couture to have fifty participants between 2018 and 2022, where:
- Ninety-four percent of the participants are women who belong to the lowest socio-economic levels (stratum 1).
- Of these, sixty-eight percent consider themselves to be of African descent.
- Eighteen percent are victims of the armed conflict.
