In January 2022, 15 interrupters, people who in their communities identify and mediate conflicts that can turn violent, received training in audiovisual tools, which will help them develop more innovative communication tools to tell the stories of what they are doing in their neighborhoods.
This workshop had three theoretical-practical sessions in which the interrupters learned about the importance of planning their audiovisual products in advance and making a technical script that allows them to organize their ideas. In addition, it helped them develop new photography skills in order to capture better quality images with the appropriate technical indications. As a final product of the training sessions, they made an audiovisual clip with their communities. These products were presented to their peers in the closing session.
The interrupters expressed feeling very satisfied with the workshop and had high expectations of being able to take the lessons learned to their neighborhoods and share them with the young people they work with, who are very interested in audiovisual production.
