At the Mulato Cabaret theater, children, adolescents and adults from the east of Cali participated in this joyous event. They were able to take advantage of this expression of art and culture.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Somos Pac\u00edfico, Somos Urbano<\/em>\u201d entailed live music, dance, art, and video effects. Approximately 170 youths and adult groups of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.somospacifico.org\">Somos Pacifico<\/a> program and its talent agency participated on the stage.<\/p>\n<p>The show was made up of five segments, allowing Pacific folklore, salsa, and hip hop to merge and culminated in an urban dance battle. Evidently, they conjured a lesson for the viewers implying that these are the only type of battles that should exist in the east side of the city.<\/p>\n<p>The story evolved through the main protagonist, a girl who traveled from the Colombian Pacific coast to Cali. Upon arrival, she was interested in dancing and started training in salsa and salsa-choque. Soon she inevitably became dazzled by the local dance culture, and continued classes in urban dance, achieving all her goals and dreams.<\/p>\n<p>This event was supported by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cali.gov.co\/\">Mayor&#8217;s Office of Santiago de Cali<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mincultura.gov.co\/\">Ministry of Culture<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.valledelcauca.gov.co\/\">Valle del Cauca government<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alvaralice.org\/en\/\">Alvaralice Foundation<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fundacionbatuta.org\/\">Batuta National Foundation<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comfandi.com.co\/\">COMFANDI<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icesi.edu.co\/\">ICESI University<\/a>.
