[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Civic Action program \u201cComo Vamos<\/em>\u201d developed a tool to assess living conditions in various\u00a0 cities as an example of their future development plans\u00a0 and in accordance to the Sustainable Development Goals<\/a> (SDGs) created in 2015 by the United Nations Development Program<\/a> (UNDP). They set goals for the years 2023 and 2030.<\/p>\n

As such, the Cali C\u00f3mo Vamo<\/em>s<\/a> program analyzed the evolution of the various indicators for the city of Cali over time to determine how it will reach the proposed development goals, as well as to highlight which areas require greater attention in terms of public policy.<\/p>\n

One of the main findings of the UNDP report prioritizes public policies for cities according to the following indicators:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Percentage of young people without employment, education or training.<\/li>\n
  2. Under age five mortality rate due to malnutrition.<\/li>\n
  3. Suicide rate.<\/li>\n
  4. Secondary education enrollment rate (specifically 10th and 11th grade).<\/li>\n
  5. Female unemployment rate.<\/li>\n
  6. Extreme poverty rate.<\/li>\n
  7. Unemployment rate.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The following indicators have improved:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. The rate of monetary poverty<\/li>\n
    2. The GINI coefficient<\/li>\n
    3. The homicide rate<\/li>\n
    4. The domestic violence rate, particularly violence against women.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
