[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Between July and August, the Colomb!anas project, in alliance with the Observatory for Women’s Equity of the ICESI University (OEM), carried out a collective memory training process to address the issue of gender-based violence, through which dialogues were generated for the production of a methodological guide that will be disseminated soon.<\/em><\/p>\n

This proposal, which was created as a product of the alliance between the Observatory and the project, had the purpose of taking the exercise of collective memory to the field through five work sessions in which a group of 40 women and men residents of the neighborhoods of Charco Azul and the settlement of \u201cComuneros I\u201d, engaged in a discussion on various gender issues.<\/p>\n

The result of this process was the elaboration of a Methodological Guide, which gathers the main lessons learned from the experience. This will be shared with women’s groups and other organizations through a validation process. Subsequently, it will be taken to the communities to be replicated by different groups, women leaders and anyone interested in working on gender issues from an intersectionality approach.<\/p>\n

“Our wager is to create strategies that allow us to take these conversations, which are normally held in hushed tones, to more political scenarios that promote leadership and generate advocacy (…) we hope soon to be able to reach many places to learn about their work experiences with the guide, and then disseminate and systematize them<\/em>“.
