In April, the Tecnocentro Cultural Somos Pacífico started the “Art and Culture for Coexistence” project, presented and endorsed by the Crea Talento (Cocrea) program. Crocrea is a national corporation that advocates for the development of the arts and a creative economy by promoting the development of “training processes, creation, production, distribution, circulation, and citizens’ access to the various creative sectors linked to the arts, entrepreneurship, and culture throughout Colombia”.
“Art and Culture for Coexistence” is co-financed by two companies from the Valle del Cauca: Rivercol S.A. and Sumiquim. These companies are committed to corporate social responsibility by providing training in the arts for boys, girls, youth, and adults from the eastern region of Cali, so that they can contribute to a more peaceful coexistence in their communities. The workshops offered are focused on artistic expression and advanced training in the plastic arts (painting, sculpture, murals, portraits, comics, fabrics, textile printing, etc.)
